Changing The World

It's a full-time job trying to get people to change.  Oh, what a perfect world it would be - if only other people would do what we want!

A plaque in our family room may hold the key to the secret of change, It's in Dutch, but translated it reads:
"Change The World, Begin With Yourself"

Not what most of us want to hear! Jesus told a parable about the problem of not seeing our own faults.  He said, "How can you say to your brother, Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?  Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye"

Being able to see the other people's faults easily without ever noticing my own is not just an indication of hypocrisy.  It can be a wake-up call that the problem in a struggling relationship may be me.  Perhaps it's my attitude that needs to change.  Or I'm the one who needs to apologize.  Maybe I'm the person who needs a humble spirit.

It's a lesson some of us have to learn over and over.  We can't change others, but with God's help we can change our own behavior.  And when our attitude changes, it may seen as if others have changed as well.

Nose Job

So a nose job is something that is an operation that is done by an expert surgery. He should be an expert because just imagine that your nose would be operated under the knife! It would be opened, stitched, blood would come out, and the vessels, too.  Nose job is not for the faint-hearted like me. Some of you might have heard of rhinoplasty San Francisco nose expert. It is a corrective cosmetic surgery performed in order to improve the function or the appearance of a person’s nose. The nose is centrally located and hence, any slight deformity in the nose affects facial beauty.

Another term for nose job is rhinoplasty (’rInow’ plastee) or a “cosmetic surgery to improve the appearance of your nose”. (WordWeb).  Rhinoplasty or the “nose job” can be described as either “closed” or “open”. In closed rhinoplasty, incisions are completely hidden inside the nostrils, whereas in open rhinoplasty an incision is also made in the skin between the nostrils.

Tumescent Liposuction

Liposuction has become very popular in America . This procedure is used to remove localized fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. There is no doubt Liposuction can improve your appearance. But we should remember it is not a substitute for losing weight. Many people, men and women a like dreams to have a perfect body and figure. But as we grow older fat deposits have been difficult to remove, no matter how we go to rigorous exercise and diet those fats is so stubborn it wouldn’t badge. Thank goodness, a new break through in the field of liposuction has been developed.

As we all know, there are more and more procedures out there that someone can go through when they want to get rid off some wrinkles, fat and other things they aren't happy about their bodies. Some people undergo surgery to get the result they are hoping for as soon as possible and improve their appearances. One of the many procedures out there are like liposuction, breast augmentation or reduction but it still sounds scary for me when someone goes through the knife! Now, a new procedure called tumescent liposuction which is claimed to be a safer technique,

As it is a surgery, it is important to educate one about the risks involved in liposuction. We should select an experienced plastic surgeon for the surgery.

Looking Better Thru Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery and other cosmetic treatments involve fast-changing technologies, new scientific findings, and changing consumer demands. This section describes emerging trends and how they may relate to your own health and beauty strategies and goals.

I know there are lots of people get their plastic surgery done from oversea, mainly is to keep it as a secret from others.  I think they scare themselves being the subject of the gossip.  Tell, I have a friend, she has done the plastic surgery near newport beach but she tells people that she is having a happy and relaxing holiday in Kansas , thus she look prettier after the wonderful holiday!

I have always said I would like to have plastic surgery on a certain part of my body, if I had the financial means and found a doctor I could trust. Let's face it, most of us have physical attributes we would like to change, but, not only is it expensive, it is also always scary when you consider that you are placing your body in the hands of someone else.

Care Of Your Love Ones

Staying in their own home as long as is possible can mean a great deal to many older people. Familiar surroundings can be therapeutic. Fortunately many seniors can stay in their own homes. All senior have an option to care with them and the name of this is senior care reviews. They are able to stay in the familiar surroundings of their own home, but have greater piece of mind. They will have more control over the decisions in life that can mean so much. Deciding what time to get up and what to eat can become very important, if there is a threat that those choices may be taken away from you.

I have seen my parents look after my grandparents. Yes, it is tough. Yes, it can be very tiring. Yes, it is a sacrifice but hey, didn’t our parents sacrificed tremendously to raise us up. I would not want to be dumped in the Old Folks Home when I am old and aged and I am sure my parents would not want to be treated that way too. Now it is time for me to learn on how to care for aged parents.

Let Freedom Ring

In 1963, during a peaceful march on Washington, DC, Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his now famous "I Have a Dream" speech.  He eloquently called for freedom to ring from every mountaintop across the nation.  The cost to him personally and to those who joined his peaceful resistance movement was steep, but real change soon began. God used that speech to awaken the conscience of the US to fight for the freedom of the oppressed and downtrodden.

In the 8th century BC, amid personal and national injustice, the prophet Isaiah was used by God to awaken the conscience of His people.  Their convenient spirituality had led them to violence and insensitivity toward their fellow humans.  God's people were oppressing the poor and substituting religious practices for genuine righteous living.  God indicted them and prescribed spiritual living that would be expressed through turning to God in genuine repentance and setting people free.

Like Isaiah, we have been sent to let freedom ring.  By the power of the Holy Spirit, we must proclaim that the captives can be released, that the downtrodden can be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord's favor has come.

The Gift of Grace

A woman told me that shen she was growing up, the kids next door weren't allowed to play with her because she didn't go to church.  Later, when she became a Christian and told her mother, her mom replied, "You're not going to start acting like you're better than all of us, are you?" That mom got the wrong impression of Christians from her neighbors.

It's good to be vigilant about the influences in our children's lives, but not at the expense of sharing God's love with our neighbors. Jesus word in Matthew 5:14-16  remind us: "You are the light of the world ... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorigy your Father in heaven."

We may feel a tension between living a holy, "separate" life and the great commandment to love our neighbor as much as ourselves.  But these two concepts don't really conflict.  A central part of a life of obedience to God is to show concern and love for the lost.

Since we did nothing to deserve salvation, we have nothing to boast of.  Paul wrote "Bu grace you have been save through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast" (Eph. 2:8-9).

Silent Witness

Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, ... stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.

Philippians 1:27

On a beautiful, warm December morning, a colleague and I were having breakfast in an outdoor coffee shop at Blugre.  With a beautiful lake and immaculate gardens surrounding us the setting was quiet, calm, and lovely with a light breeze blowing across the water.

At a nearby table, a young woman sat quietly reading her Bible.  She was absorbed in the text, occasionally looking up to consider what she had read.  She never said a word, but her heart and priorities were visible to everyone at that coffee shop.  It was a gentle, positive, silent witness.

She was not ashamed of Christ or His Book.  She neither preached a sermon nor sang a song. She was willing to be identified with the Savior, yet she did not need to announce that allegiance.

In our attempts to share the message of Jesus, we must eventually use words, because untimately words are needed to present the gospel.  But we can also learn from the example of this woman.

There are times when teh quietness of our everyday actions speak loudly, revealing our love for the Lord.  In our desire to share Christ with a broken world, let's not ignore the power of our silent witness.

Yielding your all to the Savior.  And letting His love flow through you.  Makes even your silent witness.  A witness of what God can do

A Vision of our Future

The Kingdom of God under the rule of Christ, will be wonderful.  But what will make it so?

It will be wonderful because of the leadership of the children of God, each changed to an immortal spirit being under the leadership of Jesus Christ.  Jesus Himself will reign as "the firstborn among many brethen.  He will share management of the kingdom with the resurrected, immortal children of God.

The prophet Daniel received from God a vision of the establishment of that Kingdom under Jesus Christ.  He saw Christ receiving His Kingdom from God the Father.  I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.  Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.  His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.
